Objectives Of Haryana Ration Card List
The main and primary objective of launching Ration Card List Haryana is so that the consumers will be able to get subsidized rates offered on food commodities. For offering subsidies on each food commodity, the government has fixed 3 types of ration cards under which the applicant may be categorized after carrying out the verification process by the concerned official.

Haryana Ration Card List New Update
The government of Haryana has made a decision to provide and distribute foodgrains for the upcoming 7 months by decreasing the rate/price of the foodgrains. Around 80 crores of citizens will be able to take benefit of this new update while dealing with the covid-19. Rice and wheat will be provided to them at the rate of Rs. 3 and 2 per kg.
Categories Of Ration Card
There are 3 types of ration cards fixed by the Haryana Government. These are: –
- APL Ration Card: – Those applicants who fall above the poverty line will be provided with the APL. No income limit has been specified for the APL cardholders.
- BPL Ration Card: – BPL ration cards will be provided to those applicants who fall below the poverty line and have a family annual income equal to Rs. 27,000.
- AAY Ration Card: – Those applicants who have an annual family income equal to Rs. 1 lakh will be provided with the AAY ration card. For those, the government will offer Rs. 2 per KG for wheat and Rs. 3 per KG for rice.
Role Of AePDS
Aadhaar Enabled Public Distribution System is the online portal through which qualitative food services will be delivered to the consumer by enabling Aadhar seeding with the ration card. Each Fair Price Shop has an Electronic Point Of Sale (ePOS) device that has a fingerprint and Iris Scanner. At the time of using this machine, the applicant gets authenticated or verified after keeping his/her finger on this machine.
Implementation Of AePDS
For implementing the platform of AePDS, the government starts seeding ration cards with the Aadhar numbers of the applicants with the help of the digitization of databases.
