All those applicants who want to check their names in the Ration Card List HP can check after visiting the official website of the food department without having to visit any type of government office. Several online portals have been provided by the government for providing ration services. There are 3 types of ration cards under which the applicant is categorized.

HP Ration Card List has been launched by the Department of Food and consumer affairs with a view to providing help and support to the citizens belonging to poor family groups. After getting the ration card provided by the government, the ration cardholder can get the ration from the Fair Price Shops or the allotted ration shops by the government.

Objectives Of Himachal Pradesh Ration Card List

One of the foremost objective of launching the HP Ration Card List is to provide some sort of help and support among the poor family groups so that they will be able to get subsidized rates provided on the food commodities for purchasing by availing of the ration card facility provided by the government.

Another objective of launching Ration Card List HP is to make accessible the list of eligible ration cardholders who have been considered eligible for getting ration cards after fulfilling all the verification criteria. This will also bring some form of transparency and accountability among the citizens who are accessing ration card services online on the portal.

Types Of Ration Card

There are 3 types of ration cards. These are: –

• APL Ration Card:- Only those applicants can apply for the APL ration card who are above poverty line. For those, the government will provide an Above Poverty Ration Card so that they will be able to take benefit of the subsidized rate offered on the foodgrains. They can purchase 15 kgs of foodgrains including subsidy on it.
  
  
• BPL Ration Card: – All those applicants will be considered eligible for applying for the Below Poverty Ration Card who fall under the Below Poverty Line and there are also earning a salary of Rs. 10,000. The subsidy rate will be provided on the foodgrains consisting of 25 kgs. For this, they will need to apply for the ration card either online or by adopting the offline mode of application.
  
  
• AAY Ration Card:- government has made a different ration card with the name of aay ration card. This ration card will only be provided to those applicants who have extreme poverty and they don’t have any earning resources for sustaining their livelihood. To those, 35 kgs of foodgrains will be provided including subsidy rate.  

Grievance Redressal Service Portal

For providing proper management of the ration services provided among the consumers, the government has also facilitated a portal for the Grievance Redressal so that the consumers may be able to lodge their complaints regarding any issue related to the Public Distribution System. For this they will need to visit the official website otherwise they can also dial 1967 for lodging their grievances.

Aadhar Seeding

Linking your Aadhar card with the ration card document is a must for getting PDS Services provided on the way. For this, the consumer will be required to link his/her Aadhar card with the ration card. It will also prevent the consumers from getting trapped in fraudulent activities. The consumer can adopt any kind of application procedure for Aadhar seeding either online or offline.

FPS Automation

In order to validate the ration cardholders for FPS Automation, the Government has decided to use Aadhaar based Biometric Authentication model at the FPS Shops. POS devices will be installed in the FPS shops for the use of the ration cardholders. It will ensure that the right amount of quantity is ensured to the right applicant. It will also detect the bogus ration cardholder.

SMS Alerts To Beneficiaries

In order to bring some form of accountability as well as transparency in the work of providing ration services to the applicant, each beneficiary will receive the SMS at the time when the Deport Holder has picked the ration or food commodities from the Godown. This will also bring some improvement in the transparency of the system.

HP Ration Card List Eligibility Criteria

• The applicant must be a permanent citizen of Himachal Pradesh.
• AAY cards will be provided to those applicants who fall under the Below Poverty Line.
• Those applicants who possess a family income of less than 1 lakh will be considered eligible.
• APL Ration Card will be provided to those applicants who possess a family income equal to 10,000.
• No card will be provided to those who have already applied for an FSC card. In case the applicants already have an FSC card, then he/she will be expelled from getting any kind of ration card provided by the government.
