Objectives Of Maharashtra Ration Card List
One of the foremost and main objective of launching Ration Card List Maharashtra is to provide help and support among the poor family groups who have faced a lot of difficulties sustaining their lively hood in the era of covid-19 which results in the lockdown. For them, the government has taken a useful initiative.
Another objective of the Maharashtra Ration Card List is to provide subsidized rates on the foodgrains or commodities that are being purchased or availed by the ration cardholders after getting the ration card provided by the governmental authorities. There are 3 types of cards that have been categorized by the government under which the applicant will get classified.
Types Of Ration Cards
There are 3 types of ration cards. These are: –
APL Ration Card | BPL Ration Card | AAY Ration Card |
Above Poverty Line Ration Card are provided to those applicants who fall above the poverty line and have family income from all sources equal to Rs. 10,000. 25 KGs of foodgrains will be provided to them at the subsidized rate. | Below Poverty Line Ration Card can be applied by those applicants who fall under the Below Poverty Line and possess an annual income salary from all sources equal to Rs. 1 lakh. They can purchase 15 KGs of foodgrains at subsidized rates. | Antodaya Aay Ration Card will be provided to those applicants who don’t have any employment or job facility in order to sustain their livelihood. Subsidized Palm Oil Distribution Scheme
The subsidized Palm Oil Distribution Scheme has been implemented under the permission of the State Government of Maharashtra. The Central Government has also allocated 87,740 no. of MT Palm Oil from the period of April to September 2011. Rs. 45/- will be the selling price including a subsidy on it which will be offered to the consumers for purchasing 1 litre of Palm oil.
Sugar Distribution Scheme
The Central Government or Government of India has decided to provide sugar distribution among the BPL Ration Cardholders in more quantity than the previous quantity fixed by the government. Now it has been increased to 500 gms per person which was provided for the duration of 1 month. Sugar will be distributed through the PDS.
Annapurna Scheme
On the 1st April 2001, Central Government launched a scheme with the name Annapurna Scheme under which 10 Kgs of food grains for the duration of 1 month will be provided among the destitute people having age of 65 years. The benefit of this scheme will only be provided to those citizens who are not having holding any pension under the Government of India.
Bogus Ration Cards Detection Drive
The government has started a detection drive for the detection of Bogus Ration Cards held by ineligible ration cardholders. Under this drive, the applicants will have to submit their relevant information along with valid documents or proofs. After detecting any bogus fakeness in the identification of the ration card, the ration card of that applicant will get cancelled.
Shivbhojan Scheme
In order to provide welfare to the poor and needy citizens of the state of Maharashtra, the government has started the Shivbhojan scheme under which a 1-time meal will be provided to them at the subsidized rate of Rs. 10/-. In the urban areas, Rs. 50/- will be charged per plate and in the rural areas, citizens will need to give Rs. 10 /- only. This plate may contain the following items: –

MSP Scheme
For safeguarding the interests of the farmers of the state, the Central Government has launched Minimum Support Scheme (MSP) so that the farmers will be able to get a Minimum Support Price after selling their agricultural products. The FCI will serve as a Nodal Agency to the Central Government. This scheme will be implemented by the State Agencies.

Benefits Of Ration Card List Maharashtra

Maharashtra Ration Card List Eligibility Criteria
Those applicants, who want to check their names in this list, must possess the below-mentioned eligibility criteria: –
- The applicant must be a permanent citizen of Maharashtra.
- AAY card will be provided to those applicants who fall under the Below Poverty Line.
