The Department of Social Justice & Empowerment has launched the Free Coaching Scheme For SC and OBC Students so that the students belonging to these communities will be able to get free-of-cost institution services provided by the government for preparing for any kind of competitive examination. Financial assistance of Rs. 6000/- will be provided to the student in the form of scholarships.

SC OBC Free Coaching Scheme 2023
The Central Government has launched the SC OBC Free Coaching Scheme so that the students will be able to get a scholarship amount of Rs. 6,000/- for availing the benefit of coaching. Students belonging to these communities may be facing huge financial difficulties due to which they are not able to get paid out their fees. This scholarship will forbid them from all financial difficulties.
Free Coaching Scheme For SC and OBC Students has been launched by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment so that the students will be able to access free of cost education services by getting admission to the empanelled institution registered under this scheme for providing coaching services. This will provide a fair chance to them for getting educational opportunities or services.

Objectives Of Free Coaching Scheme For SC and OBC Students
The main objective of launching the SC OBC Free Coaching Scheme is to provide parallel opportunities to both the students of SC and OBC categories so that they will be able to rise above the hierarchy of grasping education in comparison to the General category students. Meritorious students from these communities will be awarded the scholarship amount for getting free-of-cost coaching classes under the empanelled coaching centres.
Another objective of launching the Free Coaching Scheme For SC and OBC Students is to provide and explore the educational and employment opportunities among the students belonging to the Economically Disadvantaged Sections such as Scheduled Caste and Other Backward Classes so that they will be able to get scholarship amount of Rs. 3000 to Rs. 6000 for pursuing their coaching classes.
Rate Of Incentive
The Incentive amount will be provided to the student based on the area in which he/she lives. The rate of scholarship provided to the student are as follows:-
- Students of Rural Areas = Rs. 3000/-
- Students of Rural Areas = Rs. 6000/-
- Students belonging to the PWD Categories = Rs. 2000/-

Benefits Of Free Coaching Scheme For SC and OBC Students
The benefits of this scheme are as follows:-

- Students belonging to the SC and OBC will be able to get 100% fee reimbursement under the SC OBC Free Coaching Scheme.
- This scheme will provide social justice and empowerment to the students or citizens belonging to these communities such as SC and OBC.

Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria to apply online under the SC OBC Free Coaching Scheme are as follows: –
- The applicant must belong to the SC and OBC categories.
- The applicant must be a permanent citizen of India.
- Students will need to secure good academic records.
- Only one child out of the family will be given registration.
- The annual income of the student should not exceed Rs. 8 lakhs.
- Students will need to pass out the interview conducted by the interview panels.
- Students taking leave for 15 days will be restricted from getting free-of-cost coaching classes.
