Soil Health Card Scheme 2023
Health Card Scheme has been launched by the Government of India so that the farmers will be able to get Soil Health Card by the concerned officials after fulfilling the verification process. They will examine the soil quality of the farmer’s farming land. A target of covering 14 Crores of farmers’ family groups has been fixed by the government.
Soil Health Card will be provided to the farmer’s community who has enrolled under the Soil Health Card Scheme so that a good form of assistance will be given to the farmers for enhancing the growth of crops. This card will contain information about the quality of the soil. This will also improve the fertility of the quality of the soil of their farming field.

Objectives Of Soil Health Card Scheme
One of the main and primary objectives of launching the Soil Health Card Scheme is to provide some form of Farming Education among the farmer’s community by providing them with the soil health card so that they will be able to produce good crops after studying the health status, quality, fertility status of the soil.
Another objective of launching the Soil Health Card Scheme is to provide higher production in the farming field while harvesting crops among the farmer’s community so that they will be able to get some profit at lower prices with the use of manure, fertilizers, and insecticides. For this, they will have to plant their crops according to the quality of the soil of the farming field.
Sample Collection
For providing and distributing Soil Health Cards among the farmers, the government will carry out sample collections of the soil of those farmers who have applied for this scheme. After collecting samples of soil in order to detect or inspect the quality of the soil of the farming land. This will be collected in the 2 cycles.

Soil Health Management
For the health management of soil quality, the government has organized SHM stands for Soil Health Management for the application of fertilizers. SHM has been implemented under the National Mission for Sustainable Agriculture (NMSA) which aims at providing location and crop-specific suitable health management. Implementing Agency
The Department of Agriculture of all the states/UTs will be the Nodal Department as well as implementing agency for organizing the demonstrations at the farmer’s fields in their respective states/UTs. Forming District Level Teams with the team leader is a must for the proper implementation of the demonstration in the respective states/UTs.
Implementation Procedure
2 Khasra/Patwari/Cadastral Maps for each model village will be arranged by the respective States/UTs for the preparation of the Location Map and Making the demonstration on the village map. Geo-referenced maps will be sent by the respective States/UTs along with the SHC data tested. Details of SHS beneficiaries will be displayed on the notice board.
