Objectives Of UGC Scholarship
The primary objective of launching the UGC Scholarship is to provide scholarships to students aspiring to pursue or undertake a higher course of studies but can’t be able to do so due to the high fee-paying structure which results in dropping out of their studies. To such students, the UGC will start awarding scholarship or fellowship amounts.
Another objective of launching the UGC Scholarship is to provide variable fellowship and scholarship amounts to the students based on the enrollment or registration to that scholarship or fellowship for which they have applied. The students will be awarded the scholarships on a monthly or yearly basis. Students can also get scholarships in one-time payment only.

The national testing agency is the autonomous body that has been created under the supervision of the University Grants Commission which will help in the conduction of the entrance exam for a student who wants to get admission to higher studies such as Fellowship programs.
