CSSS Scholarship 2024

The Central Sector Scholarship Scheme was introduced with the Department of Higher Education and MHRD actively participating. This scholarship will only be available to students enrolled in colleges and universities. Pupils will have access to instruction for post-secondary education. Students pursuing an M.Phil., PhD, graduate degree, or graduation are also eligible.

Students pursuing undergraduate and graduate degrees are invited to apply online for the CSSS Scholarship. This scholarship offers financial assistance in the form of support and funds to eligible students. Scholarship amounts vary based on the degree or course undertaken by the student. Objectives Of CSSS Scholarship

The primary objective of launching the CSSS Scholarship is to provide scholarship funds to the students belonging to the poor background families so that they will be able to fulfill their dreams of becoming doctors, engineers and others after getting the scholarship amounts which can be used by them for paying out the admission fees.

Another objective of launching the CSSS Scholarship is to provide financial assistance to the students who have passed their post matriculation classes and are now pursuing college-level degrees from the recognised universities and for them, it is very difficult to pay out the admission or college fees due to financial instabilities.

Annual Income Limit

The annual income limit of the student’s family is also play a vital role in the selection of an eligible beneficiary from the side of the selection body. The student’s annual income limit must not exceed to Rs. 8,00,000/- as per the set up or fixed norms and regulations. If this exceeds, the students will get debarred.

Maintenance Of Attendance Record

The students will also need to satisfy the attendance record that has been fixed by the selection body. The students will need to attain this because attenance record will acts as a selection parameter for their selection. The students will need to attain 75% of the minimum attendance records.

Selection Criteria

Selection criteria will be based on the verification process carried out by the selection body consisting of governmental authorities and officials. Firstly the officials will carry out a verification process such as scrutinizing the documents and then they will prepare the list of eligible beneficiaries and the same thing will get uploaded on the national scholarship portal. 

Scholarship Application Renewal

The students who want to get an application file for the renewal of the scholarship amount once the term or duration of the scholarship amount has been completed will be required to possess 55% to 60% of minimum marks in their previous year’s examination as well as they will also need to possess 75% of the minimum attendance in their attendance records. 

Scholarship Allocation

The scholarship allocation or allocated will be among the officials of the education State Board for the students possessing the age limit between 18 to 25 years. As per the provision of the government 50% of the scholarship quota will be reserved for the girls’ communities belonging to the different categories.

Features Of Central Sector Scheme Scholarship 2024

The features of this scholarship are as follows:- 

• The Department of Higher Education has launched the CSSS Scholarship.

• A total of 54.5% of reservations has been kept for the students belonging to the underprivileged communities such as ST, SC, OBC and PWD.
• Scholarship amount of Rs. 10,000/- will be provided to the students undertaking UG or graduation degrees.
• The students will need to secure at least 75% attendance records.
• Students pursuing technical or professional courses or degrees will be given a scholarship amount of Rs. 20,000/- on a yearly basis.
• Around 41% of reservation has been kept for the students belonging to the SC, ST, OBC and PWD categories.
• It is mandatory for the students to secure at least 50% to 60% marks for getting a scholarship renewal.

Eligibility Criteria
