They can apply for up to two scholarships, each covering the expenses of pre- and post-matriculation education. This scholarship offers financial assistance to eligible students from families engaged in specified labour sectors.

Objectives Of Labour Card Scholarship

The major objective of launching the Labour Card Scholarship is to provide scholarships to the parents of children who are working in unorganized sectors so that they will be able to admit their children to government schools, institutes or universities after getting the scholarships. A list of 2 scholarships will be offered to the students for applying.

Another objective of launching the Labour Card Scholarship is to provide financial assistance to the students so that they will be able to get paid out their education or course fees with the help of scholarship amounts offered to them. Both pre-matric students and post-matric class students will be considered eligible to apply online.

The Ministry of Labour & Employment has launched the Pre Matric Scholarship For Wards of Beedi/Cine/IOMC/LSDM Workers so that the parents working in these sectors will be able to get admitted their child or children to the government schools in the pre-matric classes after getting the scholarships. Scholarships will be provided to the students of classes from 1^st to 10^th.

Pre Matric Scholarship For Wards of Beedi/Cine/IOMC/LSDM Workers Amount

The students will be given the scholarships on the basis of class as per follows:-

• Class 1^st to 4^th = Rs. 1000/-  
• Class 5^th to 8^th = Rs. 1500/-  
• Class 9^th & 10^th = Rs. 2,000/-

• The student must be a citizen of India.
• The student must be pursuing classes from 1^st to 10^th in government schools.
• The student’s parents must be a Beedi/Cine/IOMC/LSDM Worker.
• The annual income limit must be Rs. 1,00,000/- to Rs. 1,20,000/-.

Post Matric Scholarship For Wards of Beedi/Cine/IOMC/LSDM Workers

Post Matric Scholarship For Wards of Beedi/Cine/IOMC/LSDM Workers will be provided to the students for pursuing or undertaking class 11^th or 12^th, ITI/Polytechnic/Professional & Degree Courses in the recognized colleges/universities/institutes. This scholarship will only be provided to the Wards of Beedi/Cine/IOMC/LSDM Workers. Variable scholarship amounts will be offered to the students on the basis of the courses opted for them.

Post Matric Scholarship For Wards of Beedi/Cine/IOMC/LSDM Workers Amount

The students will be given the scholarship amounts on the basis of class/course or degree as follows:-

• Class 11^th and 12^th = Rs. 3,000/-  
• ITI Courses = Rs. 6,000/-  
• Polytechnic Courses = Rs. 6,000/-  
• Degree Courses = Rs. 6,000/-
• Professional Courses = Rs. 25,000/-
