Objectives Of Tripura Scholarship

The main objective of launching the Tripura Scholarship is to provide financial help and support to the students residing in the Tripura state while holding the beneficiary categories of SC, ST and OBC and also are undertaking pre or post matric classes. Students will be able to get the scholarship amount on the basis of their student type possessed by them.

Another objective of launching the Tripura Scholarship is to grant the scholarship amounts to those students who have secured a good merit record or have academic excellence. Applications filed or submitted by the students will be judged or evaluated on the basis of their academic excellence or attendance records. The beneficiary list will be prepared after taking into consideration such matters.

Important Terms and Conditions Under Tripura Scholarship

Some of the important terms and conditions are as follows:-

The students will not be able to get or receive the scholarship amounts in case if he or she has not been able to secure at least 50% in the present area.
If the student has crossed and broken the rules and regulations regarding the disbursement of scholarship amounts, then the scholarship may be dropped out.
The applicant’s studentship will get removed in case if the selection authority comes to know that the student or applicant has taken the scholarship amount by fake or illegal attempt.
Securing minimum cut-off marks in the previous year marks is a must for getting a scholarship renewal.
The mode of DBT will be used for providing the scholarship amounts.

Selection Procedure Under Tripura Scholarship

The students who have enrolled for getting scholarships will get selected by the selection body first. The selection body will scrutinize documents filed by the applicants along with the application form. Then they will prepare the list of eligible beneficiaries who have been considered eligible for getting a scholarship amount. The list will get uploaded the same on the portal so that the students will be able to track their application status.

Institution Login Process

The institution process will start by filling out the KYC form which has to be filled by the institution members first. The KYC form has been uploaded to the National scholarship portal. The institution will need first to download this form and fill this form second. The KYC form must be approved by the district Nodal Officer.

Scholarship Application Renewal Under Tripura Scholarship

Renewal Students can only apply for renewal of scholarship in the same scheme, for which they have been granted scholarships in the previous Academic Year. The student is required to update their marks obtained in the previous year and submit the application on NSP Portal. The student must keep the account in which the scholarship was received in the previous year as active.

Benefits Of Tripura Scholarship

The benefits of the scholarship are as follows:-

Students will be able to get social security provisions provided by the government under Tripura Scholarship.
Students belonging to the EBC categories will be able to get a scholarship amount of Rs. 30,000/- on the annual basis.
A list of 8 scholarships will be offered to the students for applying.
Students securing academic excellence will be able to get scholarships on time.
Scholars who are the son or daughters of cleaning and health hazard professionals will be given financial help and support consisting of Rs. 700/- on the monthly basis.
Book grants of Rs. 750/- to Rs. 1000/- will be provided to the SC/ST students for undertaking classes 9th and 10th.
Variable scholarship amounts will be given the scholarship amounts.
Scholarship renewal is possible if the student has secured at least 75% marks or the specified marks in the last year’s exam.

Features Of Tripura Scholarship

The features of this scholarship scheme are as follows:-

The state government of Tripura has launched the Tripura Scholarship.
There are around 8 kinds of scholarship initiatives that have been launched by the State Government of Tripura.
Scholarships will be provided to the students from classes 1^st to 12^th and Ph.D. level of degree.
This scholarship will only be provided to students residing in the Tripura state.
The student must be belonging to the categories of SC, ST and EBC, OBC.
Students will be able to get scholarship amounts on the basis of the student type undertaken by them.
The scholarship amount of Rs. 150/- to Rs. 350/- on a monthly basis who are undertaking classes 9^th and 10^thholding the categories of ST^.

ST category students undertaking classes 11^th and 12^th will be given a scholarship amount on a group-wise category basis.

Eligibility Criteria Under Tripura Scholarship

The applicants will need to possess the mentioned below eligibility criteria for getting online registration under this scholarship:-

Dr Ambedkar Post Matric Scholarship (EBC)	The student must be a permanent citizen of Tripura state studying in class 11th to PhD Degree belonging to the category of EBC and having an annual income equal to Rs. 1/- lakhs.
NEC Merit Scholarship	The student must be pursuing diploma/technical/management/professional level courses belonging to the SC/ST category and having an annual income equal to Rs. 4.5/- lakhs. The scholar must belong to the NER regions such as Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland & Sikkim, and Tripura.
Post Matric Scholarship (OBC)	The student must be a candidate of OBC studying in a post-matric class and having an annual income equal to Rs. 1 lakhs.
Post Matric Scholarships Scheme (SC)	The student must be pursuing a class 11th to PhD degree belonging to the category of Scheduled Caste and having an annual income equal to Rs. 2.50/- lakhs.
Post Matric Scholarships Scheme (ST)	Students must be a candidate of ST studying in class 11th to PhD degree in various fields possessing Rs. 2.50/- lakhs of annual income.
Pre-Matric Scholarship (SC)	The student must be studying in the 9th/10th class belonging to the Scheduled Caste category and having an annual income equal to Rs. 2.50/- lakhs.
Pre-Matric (SC) Cleaning and Health Hazard Scholarship	The applicant must fall under the category of SC studying in between the classes from 1st to 10th having an annual income equal to Rs. 2.50/- lakhs.
