The student must fall within the 14–25 age range that the selection body determined because the scholarship amounts will be awarded to the students based on their age and the number of sports they have participated in.

Students involved in sports seeking financial assistance from the government can now apply online for the AAI Sports Scholarship Scheme. Each eligible applicant will receive a medical allowance of Rs. 1000/-. Objectives of AAI Sports Scholarship Scheme

AAI Sports Scholarship Scheme has been launched with the main or primary objective of providing scholarship amounts ranging from Rs. 12,000/- to Rs. 16,000/- so that the sports students will be able to get some financial help and support for pursuing studies while keeping active participation in the sports. An amount of Rs. 1000/- will be provided to the students in the form of a medical allowance.

Another objective of launching the AAI Sports Scholarship Scheme is to bring out the talents among young and talented sports persons or students so that they will be able to get the scholarship award. After the scholarship award has been permitted to them, the students will also be offered employment opportunities.

AAI Sports Scholarship Scheme Last Date

As the last date to apply online for this scholarship has been launched, now the students can apply online before the last date. The last date for online form submission will be 31st March 2024 by which the students can apply online. After getting online registration on time, the students will get rid of server-hanging issues.

Age Group/Limit

The student must belong to the age limit or group which has been fixed or set up by the selection body or government. The student must be carrying out sports activities and he or she must belong to the age group of 14 to 24 years. If the student falls below the age of 14 and above the age of 24 years then he or she will be disqualified.

AAI Sports Scholarship Duration

The students will be able to receive the scholarship amount for that duration or amount of time or period that has been set up or fixed by the selection body for the disbursement of scholarship amounts. Students undertaking any kind of sports activity with the help of this scholarship will be able to get the scholarship amount for the duration of 1 year.

Rate of Medical Allowance

The medical allowance provided to the student has also been fixed or set up by the government or the selection body delegated with the task of carrying it out. The contracted sportsperson will be given a medical allowance. A Medical Allowance of Rs. 1,000/- will be provided to each eligible beneficiary. This medical allowance can be used by the student at the time of a medical emergency.

AAI Sports Scholarship Selection Procedure

The students will be selected by the selection committee or body organized and duly headed by the President of the Airport Authority of India.  Documents submitted by them will also be scrutinized by this committee. Students fulfilling the selection parameters will be given the scholarship amounts and will also be considered eligible.
