Objectives Of Pragati Scholarship 

The main objective of launching the AICTE Pragati Scholarship is to provide financial assistance to all those meritorious girl students who have secured good academic records in their schools but now are not able to continue their further studies due to poverty which results in leaving out their classes. Scholarship reservations will be provided to the SC, ST and OBC communities.

Another objective of launching the Pragati Scholarship is to empower each girl student to stand on their own feet for the pursuit of technical or higher/professional studies after getting scholarship assistance provided by the government to them. The main motto of this scheme is “Empowering Women Through Technical Education”.

Beneficiary Category

The student or applicant will need to possess that beneficiary category that has been set up or fixed by the selection body. The student or applicant who are going to get online registration for this scholarship will need to know in advance that this scholarship will only be applicable to the girl students of SC, ST and OBC.

A scholarship amount will be given to the student on the monthly basis. An amount of Rs. 50,000/- will be given per year for the duration 4 years. The course of study or degree undertaken by the student will not only sufficient for the student for getting the scholarship amount. The student will also possess the annual income limit which has been fixed by the selection body. The annual income limit of the eligible beneficiary must be equal to Rs. 8,00,000/-.
