Students who fall under the ST student category and are enrolled in classes 9 and 10 can now apply online for the Arunachal Pradesh Pre Matric Scholarship For ST Students to be granted financial support in the form of scholarship amounts. The students will be given this scholarship for ten months.

Pre Matric Scholarship For ST Students funds will be given to students living in the state of Arunachal Pradesh so they can pursue or participate in classes like the ninth and tenth grades. The major objective of launching the Pre Matric Scholarship For ST Students is to provide scholarships to the students of ST communities so that they will be able to get a proper education. This will also reduce or decrease the dropout rates among ST students dropping their school-level studies.

Another objective of launching the Arunachal Pradesh Pre Matric Scholarship For ST Students is to award scholarship incentives to the students studying in classes from 9th to 10th so that they will not face any financial difficulties while studying in their schools. Scholarships will be given to them on the monthly basis.

The Government has also fixed some limitations on the student categories which will be implied to each student while getting registration to this scholarship. Payment Of Scholarship 

The timing or date on which the scholarship amount may be transferred to the beneficiary bank account will be on 1st April from the month of admission. The amount of scholarships will be given to the student following the month of admission. Only the selected number of students will be given scholarships.

Continuation Of Scholarship Amount 

The continuation of the scholarship amount will be based on the academic performance and attendance record of the student which he/she has attained in the passing class. Students can again apply for the scholarship renewal form if he/she has secured a good academic or attendance record. Students will need to secure 80% marks and a 70% attendance record.

Tenure Of Scholarship 

The tenure or duration of the scholarship amount for which the student will receive the scholarship amount has been fixed as per the provisions or guidelines by the government. Students of categories such as scholars and hostellers will be given or provided a scholarship amount for the tenure of 10 months.

Annual Income Limit

The student will need to possess the annual income limit set up by the selection body. The annual income limit of the parents must not exceed the value of the amount otherwise, the students will not get debarred from getting the scholarship amount. The annual income limit of the beneficiary family must be equal to Rs. 2,00,000/-.

Some of the important guidelines issued by the government are as follows:-

• This pre-matric scholarship will be provided to the ST student for 10 months. 
• If the student fails in the present class then he/she will not be able to get a scholarship renewal again.
