Objectives Of Pre Matric Scholarship For Person With Disabilities
The primary objective of launching the Pre Matric Scholarship For Students With Disabilities is to put a reduction in the dropout rates among the PWDs which is usually done so because of the disabilities faced by the disabled students. Scholarships will be given to each disabled student for carrying out classes 9th and 10th.
Another objective of Pre Matric Scholarship For Students With Disabilities is to improve the education standards of the PWD students of classes 9th and 10th at the pre-matric level so that they will be able to get prepared themselves for earning their livelihood which can provide them a better place in society.

Categories Of Beneficiaries
There are some limitations set up by the government on the categories of beneficiaries who will be allowed and get permission to get registration under this scholarship scheme. Students with Person With Disabilities such as Visual impairment, hearing impairment, and physically disabled and intellectual disabilities will be considered eligible for getting scholarship assistance.
Beneficiary Limitation
The Department of Empowerment For Person With Disabilities has also kept some limitations on the number of scholarships to be awarded for the year. Each year around 25,000 disabled students get scholarship amounts for classes 9th and 10th. It is clear that around 25000 scholarships will be awarded.

Selection Procedure
Selection criteria play a major and pivotal role in the selection procedure handled by the selection body. The main selection criteria will be what kind of disability the student holds which will be the final decision of the selection body for providing scholarship assistance to them. Students will need to attach all important relevant documents with the application form while following the mentioned instructions.
Annual Income Limit
The major selection parameter that marks the selection of the student is Annual Income Limit. The student must attain that income limit that has been made mandatory by the selection body. The annual income of the student’s family must be equal to Rs. 2,50,000/-. If it exceeds, it will clearly state that the student is stable for carrying out its education fees.
Important Information
Some of the important information issued by the government are as follows:-
- It has been mandatory for all the students to know that 50% of the scholarship quota will be reserved for women candidates. In case women candidates are not present in the proper number then their quota reservation will be transferred to the male candidates which will be as per the rules and regulations regulated by the government.
- If there are more than two students or children in the family then only two children will be given scholarship assistance and the others will not be able to get this opportunity.
- The selection body will prepare the list of eligible beneficiaries after scrutinizing the documents and necessary forms submitted by them.
- Students will be able to get scholarship amounts in the cashless format due to the adoption of the PFMS system.
Reservation Of Scholarship Quota For Girls
There are some of the major steps taken by the government for securing the interest of girls students and candidates. 50% of the scholarship slots will be reserved for the girls’ students who have secured top rank out of the class studying in pre-Matric and post-matric classes. Benefits Of Pre-Matric Scholarship For Students With Disabilities
The benefits of this scholarship are as follows:-
- Pre-Matric Scholarship For Students With Disabilities will provide financial assistance to the students belonging to the PWD Communities.
- Students will be able to get some form of financial help and support.
- The scholarship amount of Rs. 500 to Rs. 800 will be given to the PWD Scholars and Hostelers.
