The main objective of launching the Post Matric Scholarship for SC Students is to provide a platform by which the students belonging to the scheduled caste communities and also residing in the Assam state will be able to pursue their college-level studies after the completion of their class 12th examination because it can be the scholarship which can provide some financial help to the students for the maintenance of their UG or PG level degrees. 

Another objective of launching the Assam Post Matric Scholarship for SC Students is to provide scholarships to Assam students who belong to the SC Communities so that they will be able to pursue a higher course of studies after getting the scholarship amounts offered to them in the form of inspiration. On an annual basis, the students will be given the scholarship amounts.

Assam Post Matric Scholarship for SC Students Last Date

As the last date to apply online for this scholarship has been launched, now the students can apply online before the last date. The last date for online form submission will be 16th March 2024 by which the students can apply online. After receiving the forms, the institute or school will start verifying the documents submitted by the students. For scholarship renewal, the students will need to secure a 70% attendance record and marks in the previous year’s examination.

Assam Post Matric Scholarship for SC Students– Important Guidelines 

Some of the important guidelines issued by the government are as follows:-

• It has been mandatory for all the students to know that 50% of the scholarship quota will be reserved for women candidates. In case women candidates are not present in the proper number then their quota reservation will be transferred to the male candidates which will be as per the rules and regulations regulated by the government. 
• If there are more than two students or children in the family then only two children will be given scholarship assistance and the others will not be able to get this opportunity. 
• The selection body will prepare the list of eligible beneficiaries after scrutinizing the documents and necessary forms submitted by them. 
• Students will be able to get scholarship amounts in the cashless format due to the adoption of the PFMS system.
