Objectives Of Ayyankali Scholarship

Another objective of launching the Ayyankali Scholarship is to grant a scholarship amount of Rs. 4,500/- Per Annum to the students belonging to SC communities pursuing classes 5^th to 10^th by which they will be able to bear the burden of schooling expenses without becoming dependent on their parents. Around 200 such students will get scholarships.

Beneficiary Category

On the basis of beneficiary category, the students or beneficiaries going to apply online will get scholarships as well as selection. The students will need to make sure that they have attained the beneficiary category. This scholarship will be given to the students belonging to the SC categories pursuing pre-matric classes living in Kerala state.

Ayyankali Scholarship Amount

Furniture Allowance

On a monthly basis, the selected or shortlisted students will be given or granted a nutritional food allowance by which they will be able to eat nutritional foods. An amount of Rs. 100/- will be given to the shortlisted students in the form of nutritional food allowances. For this, the students will need to secure selection.

Beneficiary Limitation

Selection and scholarships will be given or granted to the only selected number of students according to the beneficiary limitation. The number of beneficiaries who will get shortlisted has already been fixed. Around 200 scholarships will be disbursed this year which means around 200 students will get scholarship amounts and the selection same.

Parental Annual Income Limit

The annual income limit of the student’s parents or family will also be taken into consideration which will help the selection body in judging or evaluating the financial background of the student. The annual income limit must not exceed the specified income limit. The annual income limit of the parents must be Rs. 1,00,000/-. This annual income limit will serve as a selection parameter.
