Objectives Of BHU Scholarship

Another objective of launching the BHU Scholarship is to provide a list of 7 scholarships so that the students who are already existing students of this university will also avail of some scholarship benefits after getting scholarship amounts. Free Meal Facility for Poor Students

This scholarship or facility will put emphasis on providing meal facilities or services to the students so that the students belonging to the poor or EBC communities will be able to carry out the charges of their meals without lacking any financial stability. Students will be able to get Rs. 10/- Per Diet for a minimum duration of 7 months. Only female students living in the hostels will be given the advantage of this facility. 

Scholarship Amount 

Free meal facility will be provided to the students @Rs10/- per diet.

• The student must be a citizen of India.
• The student must be a female student living in a hostel.
• She must be studying at BHU University. 

Financial Assistance For Blind Students

This scholarship will be provided to the students belonging to the PWD Community who are Blind natives or citizens of the country. With the help of financial assistance provided to them, the students will be able to carry out the expenses of their lunch and dinner on a daily basis. A total of 20 students will be given a selection for getting major financial assistance. This assistance will be provided to them on an annual basis.

Scholarship Amount 

A scholarship amount of Rs. 5,000/- Per Annum will be provided to the students.

Eligibility Criteria 

• The student must be an Indian citizen.
• He or she must be a disabled student.
• The student must be pursuing studies at BHU University. 

Financial Aid for Poor Students

There are various students belonging to the poor and economically weaker sections due to which they are not able to help them or stand up on their own feet financially. That is why this financial aid will facilitate the movement of financial assistance among the students of such communities. A total of 100 students belonging to poor families will be given financial help and support on an annual basis.

Scholarship Amount 

A scholarship amount of Rs. 2,000/- Per Annum will be provided to the students.

• He or she must be pursuing studies at BHU. 
• The applicant must belong to the EBC community. 

Cash Prize for Rank Holders

This financial assistance will be provided to the students in the form of cash prizes for providing or awarding rewards and recognitions to the students who have done the paper or exam to the best of their ability. Students will be able to get recognition and awards for securing 1st or 2nd ranks in their university exams. 

Scholarship Amount 

Cash prizes of Rs. 3000/- to Rs. 4000/- will be provided to the students.

• The student must be an Indian citizen.
• The student must be pursuing studies at Banaras Hindu University.
• He or she must have secured at least 1st or 2nd rank. 

Scholarships for Physically Handicapped Students

This scholarship has been launched in order to provide or award scholarship amounts to students belonging to Physically handicapped communities. The students will be given benefits under this scholarship till the completion of the course tenure so that the students will not suffer from any kind of financial problem. 

Scholarship Amount 

A scholarship amount of Rs. 400/- will be provided to the students.

• The student must be a Physically handicapped student. 

Financial Support for Seminars/Workshops

There are various students who have organized Seminars/Workshops at the Faculty/Institute level at Banaras Hindu University but still not getting any kind of reward or recognition. For providing such rewards to the students, financial support will be provided to the student. Around 10 students will be given financial assistance on an annual basis.

Scholarship Amount 

A scholarship amount of Rs. 5,000/- will be provided to the students.

• The student must be an Indian citizen.
• He or she must be pursuing studies at BHU.
• The student must be organizing Seminars/Workshops at the Faculty/Institute level at Banaras Hindu University. 

Reimbursement for National-level Seminars

This scholarship will be provided or awarded to the students in the form of reimbursement of the amount of money that was spent by the student for organizing the national-level seminars/symposia/conferences. This reimbursement will not be provided or awarded to the research scholars. This will also motivate or inspire some other students to organize such events at the national level.

Scholarship Amount 

Students will be given reimbursement for Sleeper Class Rail Fare.
