The primary objective of launching the ICCR Scholarship for Indian Culture is to provide scholarships to students so that they will be inspired to pursue or undertake studies in the Indian Culture fields. Purchasing Medical Insurance Policy Is Must
The students will be advised the same for purchasing a medical insurance policy consisting of Rs. 5,00,000/- before arrival in India as it has been mandatory by the ICCR Body. It depends upon the scholar or student what kind of insurance package or policy was selected or purchased by them. Students can also keep in contact with contact his/her respective Embassy/diplomatic representative in India if they are facing any kind of problems.
Beneficiary Limitation
Only that number of beneficiaries will be able to get the fellowship amounts after getting selection which has been fixed in the form of beneficiary limitation. A total of 100 scholarships will be disbursed this year so that the eligible beneficiaries will get fellowship amounts which means around 100 students will get selection.
Important Terms & Conditions
Some important terms and conditions for this scholarship are as follows:-
- All entries in the application, except the signature, must be accurately filled.
- The application should be complete with all required information and supporting documents.
- A recent passport-size photograph (not more than 3.5×4.5cm, 25kb) with a white background and without spectacles must be uploaded.
- Copies of academic qualifications, certificates, and mark sheets, including school leaving examination documents, must be uploaded.
- A certificate of physical fitness in the prescribed form is required.
- Recommendations/character certificates from the existing school/university are necessary.
- Certified copies of relevant passport pages showing photograph, name, contact details, date of issue, date of expiry, and place of issue must be provided. Ensure passport validity for the duration of the applied course.
- During document upload, ensure correct placement in respective modules (e.g., educational certificates in the educational certificates module).
- Original certificates/documents must be presented for verification by the concerned university/institute at the time of joining. Failure to do so may result in admission cancellation, and ICCR will not be responsible.
- For engineering courses, having Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) in school leaving examinations is mandatory.
- Applicants are required to apply on the portal with compulsory details of their personal/academic information.
General Instructions
Some of the instructions that need to be followed by the candidate are as follows:-
- Students will need to purchase the Medical Insurance Policy.
- The candidate will have to purchase the local mobile sim card.
- Students will have to open an account with the bank for which bank opening form and a letter from ICCR’s Zonal/Sub Zonal Office/University.
- Only 1 application form submission will be accepted from the side of the applicant filling form.
- Fresh application submissions will be accepted in case the student is already pursuing a UG and PG degree.
- Uploading videos to YouTube is mandatory for students wishing to pursue studies in the Indian culture.
