Beneficiary Category 

The students will need to attain the beneficiary category based on which these scholarship awards will be provided to the students who have attained the beneficiary category. The benefits of this scholarship or scheme will be provided to the students who are pursuing classes from 5th to 10th.

Selection Procedure

The selection procedure for the INSPIRE Awards MANAK scheme consists of two stages: the district level and the national level.

• At the district level, a screening committee evaluates the applications received from schools and shortlists the best projects. The shortlisted students are then invited to present their projects before a district-level selection committee. The committee evaluates the projects based on their originality, innovation, societal impact, and scientific content. The selected students from each district move on to the next stage.
• At the national level, the selected students participate in the National Level Exhibition and Project Competition (NLEPC). The NLEPC is held at a designated venue, where the students showcase their projects to a panel of experts. The experts evaluate the projects and select the best projects for recognition and awards.

Implementation Procedure

Once the projects are selected for recognition, the implementation procedure involves providing financial support and mentorship to the students. INSPIRE Awards MANAK Scheme Amount 

This scheme will provide a form of benefit in the monetary form that has been fixed so that the students will be able to get or receive the amounts after getting nominated. An amount of Rs. 10,000/- will be provided to the selected or shortlisted students via one-time payment. 

Support Criteria and Opportunities

Innovations will be chosen based on newness, usefulness, eco-friendliness, ease of use, and advantage over similar technologies. The best 1,000 ideas will be showcased at a national exhibition, with the top 60 receiving awards and support for development. These top 60 will also be displayed at a festival of innovation and entrepreneurship.

• Regional workshops, audio-visual tools, and literature will be used to increase awareness and build capacity among District, State, and School officials.
• Schools will participate in internal idea competitions and submit two to three best original ideas through the E-MIAS portal.
• The top 100,000 ideas that have the potential to address societal needs through Science and technology will be shortlisted by NIF.
• Shortlisted students will receive an INSPIRE Award of INR 10,000 through the Direct Benefit Transfer scheme.
• District Level Exhibition and Project Competitions will be organized, with 10,000 best ideas selected for the State Level Exhibition and Project Competitions.
• State Level Exhibition and Project Competitions will further shortlist the top 1,000 ideas for the National Level Exhibition and Project Competitions.
• Students selected at the national level will receive mentoring support from reputed academic and technology institutions for developing prototypes.
• Selection of ideas/innovations will be based on novelty, social applicability, environment friendliness, user-friendliness, and comparative advantage over similar existing technologies.
