The Mizoram Scholarship helps students who are from less-represented groups in society. It gives them money for their education. Objectives Of Mizoram Scholarship

The major objective of launching the Mizoram Scholarship is to provide proper educational opportunities to students suffering from a lack of monetary funds due to which they are not able to fulfill their dreams of pursuing a higher course of study. Reduction In Corruption Issues 

The government will reduce corruption issues by introducing Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) for providing scholarship amounts to eligible beneficiaries. Scholarships will only be provided to those students who have linked their bank account numbers with their aadhar numbers. Adoption of the DBT system can reduce corruption or malpractices among the fraudulent.

The scholarship amount provided to the student or beneficiary may be varying which will be based on the scholarship plan he/she holds. The Department of Science & Technology has managed or maintained the INSPIRE (Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research) for attracting talent to science. This program has been created to provide some form of guidance to students pursuing college degrees from a science background to begin their careers in the science field.

Benefits Of Mizoram Scholarship

The benefits of this scholarship are as follows:- 

• Mizoram Scholarship will provide scholarship amounts to the students belonging to the under-reserved categories.
• A list of 9 scholarships will be provided to the students for applying.
• This list will contain some fellowships for the PhD scholars.
• The fellowship scheme will cover monthly stipends and research grants.
• Scholarship schemes will cover tuition fee, maintenance allowances, admission fees and scholarship amounts.
• Students will be able to get the scholarship amounts on the monthly basis.
• Financial assistance of Rs. 3,000/- on an annual basis will be provided to the ST/SC students for pursuing pre-matric classes.

Features Of Mizoram Scholarship 

The features of this scholarship are as follows:- 

• The Government of Mizoram has launched the Mizoram Scholarship.
• This scholarship will be provided to the residents residing in the Mizoram state.
• This scholarship will be applicable to students holding categories such as SC, ST, OBC and Minority.
• There are around 9 scholarships covered in the form of subsidiary scholarship initiatives.
• There are around 5 fellowships out of 9 scholarship programs.
• Admission fees of Rs. 500/- per month will be provided to the students of SC, ST, OBC and Minority categories for undertaking classes from 6^th to 10^th.
• Both JRFs and SRFs will be given the fellowship amounts on a monthly basis and research grants or contingency allowance on a yearly basis.
• The eligible NER states will be Assam, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Nagaland, AR, Sikkim, etc.
