Andaman & Nicobar Scholarship 2023-24

Students pursuing pre- and post-matric classes can now receive financial assistance and support by applying online for the Mizoram Scholarship. This scholarship has covered approximately 9 scholarships in the form of subsidiary scholarship initiatives, ensure that the students from multiple categories will receive scholarship assistance.

The Andaman & Nicobar Government has initiated the Andaman & Nicobar Scholarship program, offering financial aid to students residing in Andaman and Nicobar. The scholarship is available to students studying in grades 1 through 12, undergraduate to PhD level, across a range of courses. Eligible students will receive substantial financial support.

Objectives Of Andaman & Nicobar Scholarship Scheme

The major objective of launching the Andaman & Nicobar Scholarship is to provide financial help and support to the students belonging to the SC/ST/OBC/EBC communities so that they will be able to get paid their schooling or college fees with the help of scholarship amounts provided to them. This scholarship will cover the tuition fees, book allowances, ad hoc allowances and others.

Another objective of launching the Andaman & Nicobar Scholarship is to provide variable scholarships to students pursuing pre and post-matric classes from government-recognized schools or institutions. This scholarship will be provided to students belonging to underprivileged communities. Students will be given the scholarship amounts on the basis of the group allotted.

Annual Income Limit

The annual income attained or possessed by the student’s family from all sources of income will also be taken into consideration at the time of making the selection of an eligible beneficiary for the disbursement of scholarship amounts. The annual income limit of the student’s family must be between Rs. 1 lakh to Rs. 2 lakhs/-.

Benefits Of Andaman & Nicobar Scholarship

The benefits of this scholarship scheme are as follows: –

  • Andaman & Nicobar Scholarship will provide social security provisions to the students belonging to the SC, ST, OBC and EBC.
  • The students will be able to pursue pre and post-matric classes.
  • There are around 8 kinds of subsidiary scholarship initiatives that will be offered to the students for applying.
  • Students carrying out post-matric classes will be given scholarships on the basis of the group-wise course they are pursuing.
  • Students undertaking UG degree courses will be given financial assistance of Rs. 210/- to Rs. 400/- per month.
  • An amount of Rs. 1000/- will be provided to the students belonging to OBC and ST categories for undertaking post-matric classes.
  • Hostellers will be given a slightly higher scholarship rate as compared to the scholarship amounts given to the scholars.
  • Students will be able to pursue higher studies.
  • The students will need to apply online for Andaman & Nicobar Scholarship before the last date.
  • Students will be able to make themselves self-sustaining.

The features of this scholarship scheme are as follows: –

  • The Government of Andaman & Nicobar has launched the Andaman & Nicobar Scholarship.
  • There are about 8 types of schemes that have been kept as a subsidiary initiative under this scholarship.

 Eligibility Criteria

For applying under Andaman & Nicobar Scholarship Scheme, the applicant must possess the following criteria mentioned below:-
