After receiving the MOMA Scholarship funds, students belonging to minority categories such as Christian, Buddhist, Jain, Muslim, Sikh, or Parsi are eligible for varying scholarship amounts based on their class or degree program. This scholarship aims to provide financial support to minority students, helping them pursue their academic goals and contribute to their communities’ development.

The MOMA Scholarship offers three types of scholarships to eligible students from minority communities. These scholarships provide variable amounts of financial assistance based on the criteria and documents submitted by the students. The aim is to support students from minority backgrounds in pursuing their academic aspirations and achieving success in their chosen fields of study.

Objectives Of MOMA Scholarship

The primary objective of launching the MOMA Scholarship is to provide adequate funds or monetary funds to students belonging to minority communities so that they will be able to carry out a higher course of studies without facing financial issues. The students will be given scholarships on the basis of the course or degree or class to which they belong to.

Another objective of launching the MOMA Scholarship is to provide educational as well as employment opportunities among the students belonging to the minority community so that they will be able to generate employment opportunities for themselves as well as for others because it is the young youth who can contribute investment towards the growth of the nation.

Securing 50% Marks Is Must

It will be mandatory or essential for all the students who have enrolled under any kind of scholarship scheme to secure 50% of the minimum marks in their previous year’s examination so that they will be able to get an application file for renewal of the scholarship amount. Otherwise, they will not be able to continue their application for getting renewal of the scholarship amount. 

Transfer Of Scholarship To Male Students

As per the provisions of the government, 30% of the scholarship will be reserved for the girls’ students belonging to the minority community but in case the girls are not present in the proper proportion then 30% of the scholarship amount will be transferred to the male students. It is 100% that 30% of this scholarship has been reserved for the girls’ candidates. 

Important Information

Some of the important information issued by the government are as follows:- 

  • The applicant must ensure that he or she belongs to the minority community or must be studying in pre or post-matric classes for getting scholarship assistance. 
  • After getting the scholarship amount the applicant will need to secure 50% of the minimum marks in their previous year’s examination so that they will be able to file their application form for renewal of the scholarship amount otherwise they will not be able to get this scholarship amount.
  • There will be a difference in the scholarship amount for the scholar as well as the hosteller.
  • Only two students in the family will be able to get scholarship assistance and the others will not be. 
  • Students will need to secure regular attendance in their school attendance record for their continuation of the scholarship amount.
  • Students who have already enrolled under any such kind of scholarship initiative will not be permitted to get scholarship assistance.

Features Of MOMA Scholarship Scheme

The features of the scholarship are as follows:- 

  • The Ministry of Minority Affairs has launched the Moma Scholarship.
  • There are around 4 subsidiary scholarship initiatives launched in the form of a list.
  • The student must belong to a Minority community.
  • The student type possessed by the student will declare the scholarship amount.
  • A scholarship amount of Rs. 100/- will be provided to the students undertaking classes from 1st to 5th on the monthly basis.
  • Students undertaking classes from 6th to 10th will be granted scholarship amounts of Rs. 350/- to Rs. 500/-.
  • Students pursuing technical or professional courses or degrees will be given a scholarship amount of Rs. 500/- on the monthly basis.
