For securing the interest of students belonging to the minority community, the Ministry of Minority Affairs has launched the MOMA Scholarship Scheme so that the students pursuing various degree-based courses in different subjects will be able to get financial assistance provided by the Ministry of Minority Affairs in the form of scholarships.

MOMA Scholarship 2023
Students who belong to the categories of Minorities such as Christian, Buddhist, Jain, Muslim, Sikh and Parsi can undertake their schooling or college-based studies after getting the scholarship amounts offered under the MOMA Scholarship. Students will be able to get variable scholarship amounts on the basis of class or degree undertaken by them.
There are around 3 kinds of different scholarships that have been covered under the MOMA Scholarship which will be applicable to the students for applying who are holding the beneficiary category of the Minority community. Variable scholarship amounts will be provided to the students on the basis of the scholarship for which they have applied for.

Objectives Of MOMA Scholarship
The primary objective of launching the MOMA Scholarship is to provide adequate funds or monetary funds to students belonging to minority communities so that they will be able to carry out a higher course of studies without facing financial issues. The students will be given scholarships on the basis of the course or degree or class to which they belong to.
Another objective of launching the MOMA Scholarship is to provide educational as well as employment opportunities among the students belonging to the minority community so that they will be able to generate employment opportunities for themselves as well as for others because it is the young youth who can contribute investment towards the growth of the nation.

Securing 50% Marks Is Must
It will be mandatory or essential for all the students who have enrolled under any kind of scholarship scheme to secure 50% of the minimum marks in their previous year’s examination so that they will be able to get an application file for renewal of the scholarship amount. Otherwise, they will not be able to continue their application for getting renewal of the scholarship amount.
Transfer Of Scholarship To Male Students
As per the provisions of the government, 30% of the scholarship will be reserved for the girls’ students belonging to the minority community but in case the girls are not present in the proper proportion then 30% of the scholarship amount will be transferred to the male students. It is 100% that 30% of this scholarship has been reserved for the girls’ candidates.
Important Information
Some of the important information issued by the government are as follows:-
- The applicant must ensure that he or she belongs to the minority community or must be studying in pre or post-matric classes for getting scholarship assistance.
- After getting the scholarship amount the applicant will need to secure 50% of the minimum marks in their previous year’s examination so that they will be able to file their application form for renewal of the scholarship amount otherwise they will not be able to get this scholarship amount.
- There will be a difference in the scholarship amount for the scholar as well as the hosteller.
- Only two students in the family will be able to get scholarship assistance and the others will not be.
- Students will need to secure regular attendance in their school attendance record for their continuation of the scholarship amount.
- Students who have already enrolled under any such kind of scholarship initiative will not be permitted to get scholarship assistance.

The benefits of the scholarship are as follows:-
- This scholarship will provide financial assistance to students belonging to minority communities.
- Students of pre-matric classes will be able to get the scholarship amounts on the monthly basis.
- A list of 4 scholarships will be offered to the students for applying.
- Students pursuing technical or professional studies will be able to get the scholarship amounts on the yearly basis.
- Students will be able to get the scholarship amounts on the basis of student type.
- Students from classes 1st to 12th will be given scholarships.
- Girl students will be given financial assistance of Rs. 5,000/- to Rs. 6,000/- for undertaking classes from 9th to 12th.

- The Ministry of Minority Affairs has launched the Moma Scholarship.
- There are around 4 subsidiary scholarship initiatives launched in the form of a list.

- A scholarship amount of Rs. 100/- will be provided to the students undertaking classes from 1st to 5th on the monthly basis.
