Objectives Of NBHM Doctoral Scholarship
The major objective of launching the NBHM Doctoral Scholarship is to grant scholarship amounts in the form of monthly stipends by which the students who have received an admission letter to pursue or carry out PhD degree in the Maths subject will be able to undertake so. The students will be able to receive the scholarship amounts for the duration of 4 years.
Another objective of launching the NBHM Doctoral Scholarship is to grant a scholarship amount of Rs. 31,000/- to Rs. 35,000/- to the students undertaking Ph.D. degrees in the Maths field by which they will be able to get paid their admission fees without facing financial instabilities. An amount of Rs. 40,000/- will also be given to them in the form of contingency grants.

Beneficiary Category

This scholarship will be given to the students who have passed the Joint Screening Test for Admission and Scholarship for Ph.D./Integrated Ph.D. Programs.
NBHM Doctoral Scholarship Amount
The rate of scholarship has already been fixed by the selection body for which the students will be granted or given scholarship amounts to carry out their classes or studies. A scholarship amount of Rs. 31,000/- will be given to the students. Then, the stipend rate will get increased to Rs. 35,000/- after 2 years.
Contigency Grant
It is the contingency grant which is given or granted to the fellows or students who are carrying out Ph.D. degrees in any field or stream. A contingency grant is always given to the students on an annual basis using the one-time payment system. A contingency grant of Rs. 40,000/- will be given or provided to the students per annum.
