This scholarship has been only provided to those students who haven’t been getting any scholarship incentive under any running program.

Now, the students have been able to pursue bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees from the University of Oxford and Cambridge University after having received a scholarship amount of Rs. 1,00,000/- to Rs. 2,00,000/- offered under the Oxford and Cambridge Society of India Scholarship. Students have been given the scholarship amounts based on the college or university to which they have been admitted.

Objectives Of OCSI Scholarship 

The main objective of launching the Oxford And Cambridge Society of India Scholarship is to provide a portal by which the Indian students studying at Oxford University will be able to complete their ongoing degree or study with the help of financial assistance in the form of scholarships to them. Students who have joined their 1st year of Bachelor’s degree will be able to get scholarships till the completion of his/her degree.

Another objective of launching the OCSI Scholarship is to help brilliant students pursue their further studies at the University of Oxford with the help of the scholarship allowance provided to them. Rs. 2 Lakhs INR will be provided to them and other allowances will vary based on the course or degree that the student is pursuing from the university.

The timelines of this scholarship are as follows;- 

Beneficiary Category

The student must belong to the beneficiary category set up for the selection of an eligible beneficiary. The student must be an Indian because this scholarship will be applicable to Indian students. The students must also possess the age limit set up for each beneficiary. The student must be going to pursue a BA, MA and a second-time bachelor’s degree from the University of Oxford or the University of Cambridge.

Age Limit

The beneficiary who is going to apply for this scholarship will need to make sure that the age limit possessed by them is as per the age limit or group that has been specified by the selection body which means the applicant must be below the age limit of 30 years. This is mandatory to be secured by the students.

• Soft Skills:- Soft Skills such as presentation skills, and clarity of thought will be measured by the panel of judges. 
• Hard Skills:-  Hard skills such as extracurricular, having exposure to the study field will be evaluated by the selection body. 
• Financial Stability:- This parameter will judge or evaluate whether the student is suitable for getting a scholarship or not. 

Facilitation Of OCSI Mentorship Programme

To provide enhancement and support to Indian Scholars or Students, the University of Oxford & Cambridge has developed the OCSI Mentorship Programme so that Indian students will be able to complete their studies after getting membership under the OCSI Mentorship Programme. Students will be able to integrate themselves back into India at the end of their studies.

• Candidates invited for OCSI scholarship interviews must be academically outstanding. Departments in Cambridge or Oxford rank them as the most academically exceptional applicants.
• The scholarship program aims to support Indian candidates unlikely to attend Oxford or Cambridge. Encourages those who haven’t been exposed to the Oxbridge experience.
• Students already enrolled at Oxford/Cambridge or in study programs abroad are at a disadvantage. Preference for candidates who have completed their final years of schooling in India.
• Candidates with commitments for full outside support should not apply. If selected and later received such support, they must inform OCSI for reassignment of the scholarship.
• Awardees are expected to use education gained at Cambridge or Oxford to become leaders. Return to India within a reasonable timeframe after completing the course of study. Commitment to giving back to society in ways aligned with their expertise.
• Graduation from a university in India is a requirement. Additional preference for candidates whose final years of schooling were completed in India.
