Exam Syllabus

The Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan exam is divided into two levels: Junior and Senior. The syllabus for each level is as follows:-

Junior Level (Classes 6 to 10)

• Physics: Motion and Measurement of Distances, Light, Sound, Electricity and Magnetism, Motion and Time, Force and Laws of Motion, Gravitation, Work and Energy, Heat, etc.
• Chemistry: Matter, Elements, Compounds, and Mixtures, Atoms and Molecules, Metals and Non-metals, Acids, Bases, and Salts, Carbon and Its Compounds, etc.

Exam Format

The Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan exam is conducted in two stages: the Online Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) test and the Viva Voce (Oral) test.

• The Online MCQ test consists of 50 questions for the Junior level and 100 questions for the Senior level. The duration of the test is 60 minutes for the Junior level and 120 minutes for the Senior level. The questions are based on the prescribed syllabus.
• The top 10% of students from each state in the Online MCQ test qualify for the Viva Voce test. The Viva Voce test is conducted at the state level and is an oral examination to assess the understanding and application of scientific concepts by the students.
