Amsterdam Excellence Scholarship Selection Procedure

The students or scholars will need to carry out the selection procedure for getting the scholarship amounts. The Central Selection Committee will be given the tasks for carrying out the selection procedure. The students will be evaluated based on ambition, career goals, program joined by them.  

Merits Required For Scholars

• Individuals who have not received admission or will not be admitted for the first time at UvA
• Applicants who have not submitted a complete application for a Dual Master’s or Research Master’s that does not require interviews for its selection process, or an MSc
• Those who cannot comply with the conditions for obtaining a Dutch visa (if applicable)
• Students who are not enrolled at UvA as full-time scholars for the academic year and program for which the scholarship is to be awarded
• Individuals who have completed their previous academic program more than three years ago
• Students who have previously studied at any educational institution in the Netherlands
• Applicants who do not have a minimum GPA comparable to Cum Laude (Dutch system), a first-class honors (UK), or 3.7 (USA)
• Individuals who are not motivated students who excel in extracurricular activities
• Those who do not have exceptional English language skills, as evidenced by test results that are a maximum of 2 years old (TOEFL score of 100, IELTS 7, CAE Grade A, or CPE Grade C)
