AP Jnanabhumi Scholarship 2024-25

The AP Jnanabhumi Scholarship program offers financial aid to students residing in Andhra Pradesh. Eligible students, from 5th to 12th grade or pursuing ITI or polytechnic courses, receive varying scholarship amounts based on their class level or chosen field of study. This initiative aims to support students’ educational pursuits and alleviate financial barriers across different stages of their academic journey.

The Jnanabhumi Scholarship Scheme introduced or initiated by the Andhra Pradesh government offers 4 different types of scholarships for students admitted in classes from 1st to 10th, as well as grades 11 to 12 and above. The scheme aims to prioritize social and tribal welfare for students from these communities by providing beneficiaries with a range of Rs. 1000 to Rs. 1500.

Objectives Of Jnanabhumi Scholarship Scheme

The primary objective of launching the AP Jnanabhumi Scholarship is to assist the students belonging to the Economically Backward Classes of society so that they will be able to complete and fulfill their dreams of pursuing a higher level of education after the completion of their post-secondary classes which can only be possible after getting financial assistance provided by the government. 

Another objective of launching the Jnanabhumi Scholarship is to provide equal educational opportunities to the students belonging to the communities such as SC, ST, BC, EBC, PWD, and Minority for pursuing classes from 5^th to 12^th and college/diploma/polytechnic courses with the help of scholarship amounts provided to them. There are 4 kinds of scholarship schemes that have been launched under this scholarship initiative.

Implementation Procedure

The student will first need to apply under this scholarship by filling out his/her application form on the portal then his/her application will be verified by the HWO. Students considered eligible for getting scholarships will receive their scholarship amount after getting approval from them. The mode of Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) will be adopted for transferring the scholarship amount.

Benefits Of AP Jnanabhumi Scholarship Scheme 2024-25

The benefits of this scholarship are as follows:- 

• Students belonging to economically backward classes will be able to get scholarship assistance for pursuing higher studies. 
• Thousands of students will be able to pursue their dreams of higher education after getting online registration under the Jnanabhumi Scholarship. 
• Students will be able to get registration under anyone out of the 4 launched subsidiary scholarships. 
• Girls students applying under the post-matric scholarship will be given Rs. 1500/- to their bank account numbers. 
• Both hostellers and scholars will be given scholarships.
• Students preparing for the civil service exams will not need to borrow loans.
• There are around 1,43,296 beneficiaries from the EBC community who have been able to get scholarships. 
• Students of classes from 5^th to 10^th will be given scholarships.
• Students pursuing polytechnic courses will be given financial assistance of Rs. 15,000/-.
• Students will be able to stand on their own feet only after getting scholarship assistance provided under the AP Jnanabhumi Scholarship.

Features Of Jnanabhumi Scholarship 2024-25 

The features of this scholarship are as follows:- 

• The State Government of Andhra Pradesh has launched the Jnanabhumi Scholarship Scheme. 
• The student must hold the domicile of Andhra Pradesh.
• There are around 4 kinds of scholarships that have been launched as subsidiary units. 
• Post-Matric Scholarship will provide benefits to the students pursuing ITI, Polytechnic and Diploma level courses. 
• Rs. 1500/- will be provided to the girl students in the form of scholarships who have applied under the Pre-Matric scholarship. 
• Boy students will be given Rs. 1000/- under the Pre-Matric scholarship.
• Girl students will be given a scholarship amount of Rs. 1500/- and boy students will be given a scholarship amount of Rs. 1000/- for undertaking classes from 5^th to 8^th.
• Meritorious students will be given full fee reimbursement under the AP Jnanabhumi Scholarship only after securing 50% to 60% of the minimum marks in the previous year’s exam. 
• Those students who are pursuing polytechnic courses will be given scholarship assistance of Rs. 15,000/-. 
• This scholarship amount will include Fee reimbursement, tuition fees, maintenance allowance, and others.
