IIT Scholarship 2024

Students unable to afford admission or college fees for B.Tech or M.Tech can apply for the IIT Scholarship. Government scholarships assist financially. To qualify, students must clear JEE Main or JEE Advanced exams and register for the scheme. The applicants can also check the official website to learn more about this scholarship.

The Indian Institute of Technology initiated the IIT Scholarship Scheme to aid students seeking admission. Successful JEE Main candidates receive scholarship support, exempting them from college fees. The applicants or students will be urged to apply online before the last date or closing date.

Objectives Of Indian Institute of Technology Scholarship 

The main objective of launching the IIT Scholarship is to provide financial assistance to those students who aren’t able to carry out the burden of admission or college fees due to poverty issues for continuing their education in the Technical courses field. Scholarships will be provided to financially weaker families. 

Another objective of launching the IIT Scholarship Scheme is to provide scholarships to the students belonging to the categories of PWD, SC, ST, OBC, and others so that they will be able to rise above the hierarchy of grasping education facilities as compared to the General Category students. 100% fee reimbursement will be given to talented and meritorious students.

IIT Scholarship Selection Procedure 

To get a scholarship to get admission to IIT empanelled colleges, students will first need to crack or secure good marks in the JEE Main Entrance Examination. The beneficiary list will be prepared by the selection body based on marks gained by the students in the respective examinations. A scholarship amount will be provided to the students who have secured good marks. 

Formation Of Param Sanganak 

IIT Kanpur has signed an agreement with the MoU for the establishment of Param Sanganak so that the government will be able to cater to or resolve the computational needs of research and engineering institutes of the region. Param Sanganak is a highly reliable supercomputer secured with enhanced security features and with no single point of failure.

Annual Income Limit

The course of study or degree undertaken by the student will not only be sufficient for the student to get the scholarship amount. The student will also possess the annual income limit which has been fixed by the selection body. The annual income limit of the eligible beneficiary must be between Rs. 4,50,000/- to Rs. 6,00,000/-.

The benefits of this scholarship are as follows:- 

  • Students will be able to get the scholarship amount offered under the IIT Scholarship for pursuing technical studies.
  • A list of 32 scholarships will be given to the students for undertaking financial assistance.
  • Variable scholarship amounts will be provided to the students.
  • Students of SC, ST, OBC, EWS, PWD, and BC will be given scholarships.
  • Some of the scholarships will be given to the students on a monthly basis and some of them will be on the basis of yearly basis.

  • IIT Scholarship Scheme has been launched by the Indian Institute of Technology.

  • There are around 32 scholarships covered in the form of subsidiary scholarship initiatives.
  • There are around 7 kinds of different universities that are providing scholarships to students for getting admission to technical courses. 
  • Soon the government will start releasing the forms for the JEE Main Entrance Examination.
