Objectives Of Scholarship For Polytechnic Students

Role Of MHRD & UGC
Here the Ministry of Human Resource Development and University Grants Commission is playing a vital role in the promotion of higher education or studies among the students of the North Eastern Region and this will also increase the Gross Enrollment Ratio (GER). The main responsibility of MHRD is to encourage the students of NER to pursue higher education despite belonging to the EWS category.
Academic Performance Is Must
The Academic Performance of the students will play a decisive role in the selection of eligible beneficiaries for the preparation of the Beneficiary List. Students will be judged based on academic performance such as last year’s examination marks and attendance record. Students will need to secure 50% to 60% marks in the previous year’s exams and 75% attendance record in their school attendance records.

The student’s annual income limit will be taken into consideration at the time of making a selection of the students. The annual income limit must exceed the specified or mentioned income limit value.
