Objectives of Punjab Scholarship
The primary objective of launching the Punjab Scholarship is to provide a platform by which students belonging to underprivileged communities will be able to continue their studies without thinking about their financial instabilities. This scholarship will also ensure them that their efforts toward their studies are going to be better and better after passing their relevant class examination.
Another objective of launching the Punjab Scholarship is to provide scholarship amounts to the students residing in the Punjab State so that they will be able to undertake pre and post-matric classes. 75% Attendance Is Must
Fulfilling the minimum required attendance record is mandatory, otherwise, the student’s performance will get lowered for getting the scholarship. The students who are going to apply for this scholarship amounts will need to secure at least 75% attendance records in their schooling. This will serve as a selection criterion.
Annual Income Limit
The student’s family’s annual income must be taken into consideration in the form of a selection parameter at the time of making the selection of the student. The student’s whose annual income limit is between Rs. 1,00,000/- to Rs. 2,50,000/- will be given the scholarships first. Students whose annual income limit exceeds these values will not be given scholarships.
Allotment Of Freeship Card
For providing identification of the student whether he/she is eligible to get registration in the scholarship scheme, the Central Government has provided a Freeship Card to the student. This card is issued by the government to the student belonging to the SC or ST caste declaring that he/she is eligible to get admission to an institution without paying the tuition fee.
