The Science and Engineering Research Board has launched the SERB SUPRA so that the researchers will be able to avail some financial help and support for carrying out research after getting accepted their research proposal by the SERB body submitted by them. For the duration of 3 years, the researchers will be given research support.

SERB SUPRA
All those applicants or fellows who have out-of-box creating solutions or ideas in the fields of research and development will be given fellowship amounts offered under the SERB SUPRA. The research proposal must contain those solutions and research ideas that will try the existing research body to solve the hypotheses or challenging issues.
Financial help and support will be provided to the applicants or fellows who have submitted their research proposals to the SERB body for selection in order to get selected for the SERB SUPRA. The selected fellow will be given financial help and support for the duration of 3 years and after the completion of this tenure, it may get extended to new 2 years which means a total of 5 years of support can be availed by the fellow.

Objectives Of SERB SUPRA
The major objective of launching the SERB SUPRA is to promote research and development in the fields of science and engineering by which the researchers and fellows with different research ideas will be able to get fellowship support by which they will be able to implement those ideas which will solve the hypothesis challenges.
Another objective of launching the SERB SUPRA is to grant fellowship amount for the duration of 3 years to those fellows whose ideas or research proposal has been accepted by the SERB body. On the basis of their research performance, the duration of the fellowship can also be extended to more than 2 years.
Beneficiary Categories
This fellowship will be given to the fellows who belong to the beneficiary category affixed for providing fellowships. The fellow must be a PI, CO-PI, OCI, NRI, INSPIRE Faculty, Ramanujan & Ramalingaswamy Fellows, Research Associates, Ad-hoc faculties, Guest Faculty, Visiting Scientists, Consultants, Project Fellows and Faculty members holding Ph.D. degrees in Science, Mathematics, Engineering.
SERB SUPRA Duration
The fellows will be able to receive the fellowship amounts for the stipulated amount of time or duration for which this fellowship has been launched. The fellows will be able to carry out research for the duration of 3 years which means the fellowship amounts will be awarded to the fellows for the duration of 3 years.
SERB SUPRA Renewal
After the completion of the fellowship period, renewal of SERB SUPRA is possible if the fellow or researcher has fulfilled or satisfied the conditions of renewability. The term or tenure of this fellowship can also be extended to 2 years more if the researcher has satisfied the research performance. This will cover the major support.
SERB SUPRA Selection Procedure
The fellows will be given the acceptance of the proposal after carrying out an initial screening of the application form and research proposal submitted by the fellows which will be looked up by the expert committee. Only one research proposal will be carried out by a single researcher or fellow; more than one research proposal will be allowed. On the final recommendation of the Program Advisory Committee (PAC), selection will be given to the fellows.
SERB SUPRA Last Date
It is obvious that the students will be able to get the scholarship registration after applying online under this scholarship. For this, they will also need to get to know the last date by which they can get registration. The last date for online form submission has not yet been released by the selection body. Research Project Cost
The total cost of research that will be spent or sanctioned by the authorized or superior body for carrying out the research project has already been fixed by the government. An amount of Rs. 80,00,000/- has been sanctioned or approved by the government for the research project. After getting approval for a project, the fellows will need to get a certificate from the National Laboratory / Research Institution.
