The Vidyasaarathi Scholarship was established by the NSDL e-Governance to provide financial aid to students from marginalized and impoverished backgrounds so they can continue their education. Students pursuing classes like 11th and 12th grade, undergraduate and graduate degrees, bachelor’s degrees in education, ITI and polytechnic courses, or diploma programs would be eligible to apply for this award.

Vidyasaarathi Scholarship 2023-24

The Vidyasaarathi Scholarship was established to safeguard the interests of students from the socioeconomically disadvantaged groups in society, enabling the government to offer assistance and support in enhancing their educational foundation. Approximately eight different types of scholarships have been introduced or are being funded via subsidiary scholarship projects.

Diploma programs, ITI courses, undergraduate, and graduate degrees are accessible to students with the financial aid provided by the Vidyasaarathi Scholarship. To enroll in their chosen degree or course, students must attain the required cutoff marks in the previous year’s test. This scholarship opens doors to diverse educational opportunities, empowering students to pursue their academic goals and advance their careers.

Objectives Of Vidyasaarathi Scholarship 

The main objective of launching the Vidyasaarathi Scholarship is to provide social welfare to the students belonging to the disadvantaged sections so that they will also be able to fulfill their dreams of pursuing higher or professional education like others. This will bring promotion of skill development among such students. 

Another objective of launching the Vidyasaarathi Scholarship is to provide variable scholarship amounts to the students so that they will be able to get admission to higher course of studies after getting the scholarships. The students will be offered around 8 scholarships for applying as per their requirement. Variable scholarships will be provided to the students.

Vidyasaarathi Scholarship Selection Process

The selection process for the Vidyasaarathi Scholarship is a rigorous and transparent one. It involves several stages to ensure that the most deserving candidates are chosen for the scholarship.-

• Online Application:- The first step in the selection process is the submission of an online application by the interested candidates. The application form can be accessed on the Vidyasaarathi Scholarship portal. The candidates are required to provide accurate and complete information regarding their personal, educational, and financial background.
• Eligibility Criteria:- After the submission of the application, the eligibility of the candidates is assessed based on certain criteria. These criteria may vary depending on the specific scholarship program. Vidyasaarathi Scholarship Tenure

The students will be given or offered the scholarship amounts applying for anyone subsidiary scholarship initiative for the stipulated amount of time or duration for which the students will be able to receive the scholarship amounts. There are around 8 scholarships which will be provided to the students for the duration of 1 year covering 12 months. The tenure of each scholarship is same.

Annual Income Limit

The annual income limit of the student’s family or parents will also be taken into consideration in the form of selection parameter for the selection of an eligible beneficiary. The students will need to make sure that their annual income limit must not exceed to Rs. 3 Lakhs otherwise, if it exceeds the students will not be able to get the scholarship amount same and will get debarred.

Benefits Of Vidyasaarathi Scholarship 2023-24 

The benefits of this scholarship are as follows:-

• Lakhs of students will be able to fulfill their dreams of pursuing higher education or studies under the Vidyasaarathi Scholarship.
• The students belonging to the underprivileged groups will be able to get the scholarship amount. 
• Students will be able to get enrollment under any one out of the 8 launched or covered subsidiary scholarship initiatives.
• Students will be able to get admission to various courses such as B.E./B.Tech and Diploma Courses.
• There are around 10 lakhs students who have got registered on this portal. 
• Students will be able to pursue their Full-time UG or PG courses after getting the scholarship amount. 
• An amount of Rs. Rs. 40,000/- will be provided to the students for pursuing technical education or courses. 
• Students who want to pursue a full-time UG or PG course can get admission after getting a scholarship amount of Rs. 10,000/-. 
• Each student will be given a scholarship for the tenure of 1 year. 
• The students will need to apply online under the Vidyasaarathi Scholarship before the last date of online form submission. 

Features Of Vidyasaarathi Scholarship 2023-24 

The features of this scholarship are as follows:-

• The NSDL e-Governance has launched the Vidyasaarathi Scholarship. 
• There are around 8 subsidiary scholarship initiatives covered.
• The Ministry of Corporate Affairs is the delegated ministry for the task of providing supervision and coordination. 
• This scholarship scheme will carry out its operations according to the CRS Rules. 
• A scholarship amount will be provided to the student for 12 months. 
• The students will need to secure the minimum marks of 35% in the class 10^th for getting admission to ITI Courses.
• The annual income limit of the student must not exceed to Rs. 3,00,000/-.
• Scholarship amount of Rs. 10,000/- will be provided to the students for pursuing classes 11^th and 12^th, Diploma and ITI courses.
