The State Government of Tamilnadu has launched the ADW Scholarship for providing financial help and support to students belonging to minority communities so that they will also be able to enjoy and avail the same educational opportunities as the other students may take. The students can apply online for this scholarship before the date of 15th March 2023.

ADW Scholarship 2023 

Now students belonging to Minority Communities such as Muslims, Sikhs, Islam and Christians, Parsis and Jain, etc can apply online under the ADW Scholarship so that the students belonging to these categories will be able to get some sort of financial help and support. The students will be able to undertake pre and post-matric classes from 1st to 12th and UG to a Ph.D. degree.

There are around 23 scholarships or schemes which have been covered under the TN ADW Scholarship for the students belonging to the Adi Dravidar, Tribal, and Adi Dravidar converted to Christianity communities or Minority Communities. Variable scholarship amounts will be provided to the students. Some of the offered facilities are Hostel Facilities, Awards or Prizes, Fee Reimbursement and Free Textbooks, etc.

Objectives Of ADW Scholarship

The main objective of launching the ADW Scholarship is to provide social security or welfare to students belonging to minority communities so that they will be able to pursue their current pursuing classes or degrees with the help of scholarship amounts provided to them. This will also bring tribal welfare to the students belonging to these communities. 

Another objective of launching the ADW Scholarship is to promote the adoption of higher studies among the students of the Minority community, ST, and SC communities so that they will be able to raise their educational standards in the social hierarchy.  An amount of scholarship will be provided on the yearly basis.

Beneficiary Category

The student or scholar must belong to that beneficiary category that has been fixed or set up by the selection body. The students who are going to apply for this scholarship will need to make sure that he or she belongs to the category of Minority Communities and also pursue pre and post-matric classes.

ADW Scholarship Selection Procedure

An application form will be submitted by the concerned headmasters or principals. Then, the Institution head will post the annexed or attached student’s applications and documents with the application submitted by the student. ADW officials will scrutinize the documents. After that, the students will successfully get the scholarship amounts.

Annual Income Limit

The annual income limit of the student’s family must not exceed the rate of annual income limit that has been specified by the selection body. The parental annual income of the student must be Rs. 2,50,000/- according to the caste or category to which the student belongs.  If it exceeds, the students will get debarred.

Benefits Of ADW Scholarship

The benefits of this scholarship are as follows:- 

  • ADW Scholarship will provide social security and social welfare to students belonging to minority communities. 
  • A list of 23 scholarships will be offered to the students for applying.
  • Students will get the scholarship amount on the yearly basis. 
  • Students will be able to enjoy or avail of the facilities such as Hostel Facilities, Awards or Prizes, Fee Reimbursement and Free Textbooks, etc.
  • This scholarship will be provided to the students studying in classes from 1st to 12th.
  • Students will be offered a scholarship amount of Rs. Rs. 500/- Per Annum for pursuing classes 3rd to 5th
  • An amount of Rs. 7500/- will be provided to the students for pursuing or undertaking UG or BA degrees every year. 
  • Rs. 1000/- will be offered to the students for pursuing class 6th on the annual basis. 
  • The students can apply online under AWS Scholarship by 15th March 2023. 
  • Along with the scholarship amount, many other facilities will also be provided to the student. 

Features Of ADW Scholarship

The features of this scholarship are as follows:- 

  • ADW Scholarship has been launched by the State Government of Tamilnadu. 
  • This scholarship is also known as Adi Dravidar & Tribal Welfare Scholarship.

ADW Scholarship Eligibility Criteria 

The applicants will need to follow the mentioned below eligibility criteria for getting online registration under this scholarship: –

  • The applicant must have a domicile in Tamilnadu state.
  • The student must be a candidate from an Adi Dravidar, Tribal, and Adi Dravidar converted to Christianity communities or Minority Communities. 
  • Applicants studying in classes 1st to 12th, UG to a Ph.D. level of studies will be considered eligible to apply. 
  • The parental annual income of the student must not exceed Rs. 2,00,000/-. 
  • The student must have studied in the Adi Dravidar Welfare, GTR, and Government Aided Schools in case he or she is pursuing College level degree.

    Im a Student pursuing B.E Computer Science, i applied for Aadhi dravidar scholarship schemes at last month, still the amount was not credited to my account when it will be credited.? Im submitted all my documents correctly.
