Beneficiary Category

Whether you are availing of public facilities or a scholarship/scheme, it is the beneficiary category that marks the selection of an eligible beneficiary. The student must belong to the beneficiary category for which this scholarship is meant. Annual Income Limit

The annual income attained or possessed by the student’s family from all sources of income will also be taken into consideration at the time of making the selection of an eligible beneficiary for the disbursement of scholarship amounts. The annual income limit of the student’s family must not exceed Rs. 2,50,000/-.

Possession Of Freeship Card Is Must

It is mandatory for all the students who are going to apply under this scholarship scheme to have their Freeship Card provided by the school authorities stating that the student is eligible to apply to the scholarship scheme launched by the government for providing a scholarship amount to them.  This document will provide them with the surety that their registration to any relevant scholarship scheme will be reserved for them and never be neglected. 

Mode Of Scholarship Transmission

The government will use the mode of Direct Benefit Transfer for transferring the amount of scholarship to the bank accounts of eligible beneficiaries. This model has been accepted or adopted for the reduction of corruption issues that are taking place while providing scholarship amounts to the students. The scholarship amount will only be provided to those students who have linked their Aadhar card numbers with their bank account numbers. 

Formation Of Project Appraisal Committee

The department will soon hire a Project Appraisal Committee which will provide approval to the Annual Action Plan made and presented by the concerned state governments for seeking approval.  This plan will provide the whole details about the upcoming and newly launched scholarship scheme for the Welfare of ST students which will cover various details such as targets, strategic timelines, aims and coverage.

Facilitation Of Grievances Submission

For the facilitation of grievances submitted by the relevant applicants complaining about the scholarship service provided by the concerned state government, Grievance Redressal Officers will be hired who will look into these grievances and resolve them in a timely manner by providing resolutions to them. The aim of hiring GROs is to provide qualitative services to the applicants.

• Centrally Sponsored Post Matric Scholarship Scheme For ST Students will provide financial help and support to the students belonging to the ST communities.
