E Medhabruti Scholarship 2024-25

In order to give or award scholarship amounts to students who wish to pursue technical and general courses for their UG and PG degrees after having received some sort of financial assistance, the Department of Higher Education has launched the E Medhabruti Scholarship. The student must have received at least 60% in the previous year’s examination.

Under the E Medhabruti Scholarship, students living in the state of Odisha will receive financial aid in the form of scholarship amounts to pursue technical and general courses for two to three years, depending on the course or degree they have chosen. About four scholarships have been developed as subsidiary scholarship programs.

Objectives Of E Medhabruti Scholarship

The objective of launching the Medhabruti Scholarship Scheme is to provide some form of financial assistance in the form of a scholarship to the students for the persuasion of higher education after the completion of their post-matric classes which will provide that they will inspire and encourage building their bright future.

Another objective of the E Medhabruti Scholarship is to increase literacy rates and decrease the dropout rates among the students who have left their school in between their education or studies. Around 14,500 students will be able to apply for this scholarship. E Medhabruti Scholarship Selection Procedure

The selection procedure and the selection criteria will be based on two factors:- district-based and merit-based. If the selection procedure is based on district-based data then the scholarship amount will be as per the population of the district and if the selection procedure is based on merit selection then the student will need to secure good marks in their previous year’s examination which will decide the selection criteria for the disbursement of scholarship amount.

Role Of Department Of Higher Education

Minimum Marks Cut Off 

It is obvious that the students will need to possess the eligibility criteria fixed or set up by the selection body or committee. Annual Income Limit 

The course of study or degree undertaken by the student will not only be sufficient for the student to get the scholarship amount. The student will also possess the annual income limit which has been fixed by the selection body. The annual income limit of each eligible beneficiary must be equal to Rs. 6,00,000/-.

Benefits Of Odisha Medhabruti Scholarship Scheme 

The benefits of this scholarship are as follows:- 

• Financial assistance will be provided to the meritorious students who have secured 80% in their previous year’s examination. 
• The duration of the scholarship will be from 2 to 3 years.
• Students securing 75% of the attendance record will have the advantage of getting faster registration under the E Medhabruti Scholarship.
• Scholarships will be transferred directly to the bank accounts of the eligible beneficiaries. 
• The scholarship will be provided according to the course that the student is pursuing from the recognized university. 
• A differential scholarship amount will be given to the student in case he/she has changed his/her college course. 
• The rate of the scholarship will be Rs. 5,000/- to 10,000/- which will be provided to the students undertaking UG or PG courses. 
• Students will be able to get this scholarship amount on a yearly basis.
• One can apply online under the E Medhabruti Scholarship before the last date to get timely registration.
• Around 10,000/- students will be able to get the scholarship amounts for pursuing professional and technical courses.

• The State Government of Odisha has launched the Medhabruti Scholarship Scheme.
