TERI has introduced the Green Olympiad to give scholarships to students. Students in 4th to 12th grade can register online. They’ll have 1 hour, or 60 minutes, to complete the Olympiad. Green Olympiad 2024

Students in grades 4-12 from selected countries can apply for the Green Olympiad online to win cash prizes. This competition aims to teach green and environmental skills to young scholars. Eligible countries include Australia, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Fiji, Indonesia, Iran, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Kenya, Kuwait, Mexico, Nepal, Russia, Singapore, and Qatar.

TERI has started the Green Olympiad for students to win scholarships. They have to answer 50 questions in 60 minutes. The exam dates will be on the portal. Objectives of Green Olympiad 2024

The major objective of launching the Green Olympiad is to provide scholarships to the students scholarship amounts in the form of financial help and support to the students of classes from 4^th to 10^th so that they will be able to secure good marks after carrying out this Olympiad. There are around 6 exam centres located within India. Various exciting cash prizes will be provided to the students.

Another objective of launching the Green Olympiad is to provide proper education to the students so that they will be able to imbibe the values, skills and knowledge on topics such as water, energy, air, agriculture, waste, climate change, sustainable development, and biodiversity. The medium of instruction will be English. The student must belong to the country that has been considered eligible for applying.

Registration Fee

The students will be urged to submit the amount of the registration fee so that they will be able to carry out this exam before the last date of online form submission. All the students must submit an amount of Rs. 75/- through the respective school. Out of Rs. 75/-, Rs. 5/- will be deducted for examining the school premises.

Based on the scores achieved, students will be awarded merit and distinction certificates. Coordinating teachers will receive certificates for their efforts. Global Rank Holders will receive book vouchers. Students may also receive invitations to attend events on environment and sustainability organized by TERI and related institutes. Additionally, there will be opportunities for students to participate in workshops focused on environmental themes to enhance their knowledge and skills.

Benefits of Green Olympiad 2024

The benefits of this Olympiad are as follows:-

• Students will be able to get the scholarship amounts for carrying out pre-matric classes.
• Green Olympiad will provide proper and accurate knowledge to the students on greenery and environmental skills.
• The students belonging to the eligible countries will be able to apply online.
• Students who have secured marks above 85% will be given the Distinction Certificate.
• Students can carry out this Olympiad through or from those states which have been empanelled as an exam centre for carrying out this exam.
• Exciting rewards will be given to the students such as distinction certificates, Merit certificates, Medals and Mementos.
• Distinction Certificates will be given or distributed to the students at the individual level who have shown the best performance.
• Merit Certificates will be provided to those students who have secured marks between 70% to 85% marks.
