Objectives Of MHRD Fellowship
The major objective of launching the MHRD Fellowship is to provide fellowships to the fellows wanting to carry out research proposals offered by the Department of Health Welfare and the ICMR body so that the selection bodies will be able to resolve those areas of issues that have been presented among the fellows as areas of research.
Another objective of launching the MHRD Fellowship is to grant variable fellowship and research grants by which the fellows who have to begin associated with this research proposal will be able to complete their research without feeling a lack of funding operations. The budget amount for this proposal will get sanctioned by the government before giving a research contract to the selected fellow.

Research Project Budget
As it is already mentioned above, before providing any research project to the fellow, the budget required for the research project will get fixed in advance by the selection body so that the fellows will be able to get equal infrastructure at the time of carrying out research. The budget amount of Rs. 50,00,000/- will be sanctioned by the government.

MHRD Fellowship Eligibility Criteria
The students will need to possess the below-mentioned eligibility criteria for getting registration:-
- The applicant must be a citizen of India.
- He or she must be an Employee working in Government Medical Colleges or Institutions, Women or Men Scientists of Universities, medical colleges, postgraduate institutions, recognized research and development laboratories, and NGOs.
- The age limit must not exceed 55 years.
- The applicant must have done M.D./ M.S./ M.D.S. or MBBS/BDS/ MVSc./ M.Sc./ M.Pharma/ M.Tech or equivalent with Ph.D. in a topic related to health/ medical research.
- Women must possess an age limit of 30 to 50 years.
- The applicant must possess or attain minimum working experience.
