Objectives Of Questbridge Scholarship

The major objective of launching the Questbridge Scholarship is to provide scholarships to students on the basis of merit excellence or records by which they will be able to carry out college degrees from any college or university that is the college partner. The students will be able to get the scholarship amounts on an annual basis.

Another objective of launching the Questbridge Scholarship is to grant a scholarship amount of $200,000/- to the students for the duration of 4 years by which they will be able to carry out college degrees for the stipulated amount of time for which they have enrolled themselves. This scholarship will not be given to international students living outside the USA.

Beneficiary Category

The students will need to attain the beneficiary category for which they are going to apply for the scholarship. This scholarship will be given to students who are citizens of the USA and the USA students living abroad. The student must be pursuing a college degree from that university which is Questbridge’s college partner.

Ineligible Beneficiaries

The following beneficiaries will be considered ineligible to apply online:-

• International students living outside abroad
• Students undertaking loans

Questbridge Scholarship Amount

The student will be given or granted the scholarship amount according to the rate of scholarship that has been fixed by the selection body. The students will be able to receive the scholarship amounts on an annual basis. A scholarship amount of $200,000/- will be given or granted to the students on an annual basis.

Questbridge Scholarship Coverage

This scholarship will cover the below-mentioned allowances:-

• Residence Allowance
• Books Grant
• Traveling Expenses

Questbridge Scholarship Duration

The students will be given or granted the scholarship amount only for the stipulated amount of time or duration for which the students will be able to pursue or carry out degrees from the colleges or universities. Each eligible beneficiary will be given the scholarship amounts or rates for the duration of 4 years.

Annual Income Limit

The students will need also to attain or possess the income limit on a yearly basis that has been specified or prescribed by the selection body. If it exceeds, the students will get debarred or disqualified the same from getting the scholarship amounts. The student’s annual income limit must be or not exceed $65,000/-.

In 2022, QuestBridge had 5,613 Finalists from 17,900 applications for the National College Match. Among them, 1,755 secured Match Scholarships. Even if not matched, 40% of Finalists received generous financial aid in QuestBridge Regular Decision. Keep in mind, that college admission is competitive, and the colleges make the final decisions, be it through the Match or Regular Decision.

QuestBridge National College Match Working

QuestBridge reviews applications, selects Finalists, and forwards their applications to college partners. Applicants rank their preferred colleges by mid-October. College partners review and submit lists of students they’d like to admit with Match Scholarships. QuestBridge compares lists, matching students with their highest-ranked college that also selects them. Each student can only match with one college, emphasizing a mutual selection process between students and college partners.

Criteria for QuestBridge Finalists

QuestBridge Finalists demonstrate motivation by excelling in challenging high school courses. Various factors, including grades, class rank, courses taken, standardized test scores (if provided), writing skills, teacher recommendations, School Reports, and other markers of talent, are considered in assessing academics. Applicants interested in the Match can check college partners’ websites for specific academic standards.

College Acceptance Process

Admission statistics vary yearly based on applicants and fit with acceptance criteria. No guaranteed spots exist for individual high schools, and there’s no limit per school. Applications are holistically reviewed, considering academic, financial, and other criteria. The college selects as many qualified students as deemed fit for admission.

In 1987, Stanford students Marc Lawrence and Michael McCullough initiated the Stanford Medical Youth Science Program, which evolved into QuestBridge in 2004.
