Annual Income Limit
The students will need to possess the annual income fixed by the selection body according to the caste category undertaken by the student or eligible beneficiary. The students will need to possess an annual income in between the value set up. The student’s annual income must be between Rs. 1,00,000/- to Rs. 2,50,000/-.
Scholarship Transferral In DBT Mode
To reduce the chances of corruption taking place while transferring the amount of scholarship the government has directed all the content officials to transfer the amount of scholarship with the adoption of the DBT model. This scholarship amount will not be in the cash format rather they will get directly transferred to their relevant bank account numbers.
Provision Of Social & Economic Welfare
The main aim and target of launching this scholarship are to provide social as well as economic welfare to the students belonging to the economically weaker sections of society so that they will be able to rise above this hierarchy that the economically weaker section can’t pursue a higher level of education due to their economical status.
Selection Procedure
The students who have enrolled for getting scholarships will get selected by the selection body first. The selection body will scrutinize documents filed by the applicants along with the application form. Then they will prepare the list of eligible beneficiaries who have been considered eligible for getting a scholarship amount. The list will get uploaded the same on the portal so that the students will be able to track their application status.
Scholarship Application Renewal
Renewal Students can only apply for renewal of scholarship in the same scheme, for which they have been granted scholarships in the previous Academic Year. The student is required to update their marks obtained in the previous year and submit the application on NSP Portal. The student must keep the account in which the scholarship was received in the previous year.
